Art Can Never Be Defined
There is not definition that will satisfy everyone, that says what art is and what it is not. This is why I believe anyone can make art. The opinion of everyone around you should never define how good your art is.
And that is my random little thought for the day. I have just been getting a little sympathetic for those who keep going on about how they can never be an artist because they have no talent. It is sad that they can't realize that the actual talent in art is the ability to accept the talent you are give, whether it is no talent or a lot of talent.
Other than that, I haven't really worked on anything lately. I will, though :) Hopefully. Things are busy.
My goal for this blog is to include more videos. I had a lot of fun making that last one, and from the responses I receive on my e-mail, Deviant Art and the video, I think others enjoyed it ^_^

Alright :) The video I posted is a time lapse of a sunrise scene I made with oil pastels on a canvas board. The song is 'Here Comes the Sun', by The Beatles. I felt it was appropriate ;)
I didn't get to record the whole process of creating this, but I hope you like it :) I am not too experienced with oil pastels, but I love to work with them. My art teacher always described them as 'crayons on steroids'. ^_^
I think that a nice sunrise can make someone happy. I love looking out my window in the morning. They also make good painting subjects. :)
I have more videos to come!

Acrylic Painting - Wolf

Sorry about the bad photo quality ^_^ I will take a better one in the future :)
I hope you like this. I did it in one night. It still needs some itty bitty details, and the white border around the painting is going to be black. I really like how this turned out, since I didn't take very much time to do this. I had one of those sudden urges to paint, but not much time to do so.
I chose to do this because I saw a really cool painting of a crescent moon, and it made me think of a wolf howling at the moon. I used acrylic paints. I did a lot of texture techniques to this. The moon is pretty much just blobs of paint mashed together until they made the look I was going for. I crumpled up a coffee filter and pressed it on the wet paint for the sky, and then I put some white, black and dark blue on the filter and did the same thing. There is a little bit of splattering done in the sky as well. I made the grass in a way very similar to how I made the sky.
I know this isn't the -best- painting, but I hope you like it <3
